Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP), Monoco Oil, Pittsford, NY

LaBella has been retained by Mark IV Development to provide all environmental services associated with the NYSDEC Brownfield Cleanup Program for this project.  This complex environmental project involves the cleanup and demolition of a 20-acre blighted vacant oil refinery.  This former facility operated for nearly a century and consisted of a major storage and refining facility along the Erie Canal.  This property had been vacant for nearly 20-years prior to the Brownfield project.  LaBella conducted a Remedial Investigation and has developed Interim Remedial Measures for addressing impacts at the Site.  The redevelopment plan for the project includes an upscale waterfront apartment and townhome complex along the historic Erie Canal in the Town of Pittsford, New York.  The final remedial work is anticipated to be implemented during construction activities and will allow for the redevelopment of the parcel while obtaining NYS Tax Credits through the Brownfield Cleanup Program.
