Renovations at Temple Beth El Raise Spirits, Lower Bimah

Temple Beth El is an iconic piece of Rochester architecture. Its sanctuary was built in the 1960's with sweeping forms to represent an open book. In renovating the space, LaBella’s approach was to honor the spirit and beauty of the existing, while updating finishes and areas that no longer functioned to the benefit of the congregation. The project goals were threefold: to increase accessibility, create a more intimate environment that engages congregants as participants, and

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Gatehouses

LaBella Associates recently completed a project transforming Holy Sepulchre Cemetery’s existing gatehouses into multi-purpose community spaces. The gatehouses were built in 1870, with minimal updates beyond adding electrical utilities. The gatehouses have been re-imagined as conference and community space for both the cemetery and the general public. With new A/V capabilities, the spaces can be rented for a variety of functions, including post-burial gatherings. Technicall
