We are philanthropic.

We directly support a diverse group of not-for-profits in all of the communities where we live and work.  Our corporate philanthropy typically supports K-12 and higher education, local social service agencies, arts and culture, and community development.  

We are empowered.

As designers and innovators, we’re a resourceful bunch.  LaBella is a company of doers and we work together frequently for the benefit of others.  We use what skills and talents we have to partner with communities throughout the entire footprint of our company.  From building homes for Habitat for Humanity to supporting animal shelters to tutoring school children, we think tangibly about supporting the people and foundations where we live and work.

Two years ago we created an Engineering and an Architecture scholarship for students at Rochester Institute of Technology.  We go beyond just supporting tuition.  We invite our scholarship recipients to intern at LaBella and we hope they join our team after graduation.

We are proud of our people.

We want them to be proud of our organization, too.  We believe in giving our employees the tools to succeed both personally and professionally and the room to grow.  In return, we have seen a high level of employee commitment and retention.  True employee engagement results from more than one program or action, but there are a few things that we excel at that our employees have highlighted as foundational to being proud of their employer.

We have an open door policy and candid communication is encouraged.  After all, our employees are our owners.   Transparency is vital to our organization’s success and our employees understand all the ins and outs of how the company operates.

Each year, LaBella expands its benefits packages and wellness programs.  We empower employees to manage their health, grow their skills, and balance their family responsibilities.

Our Sunshine Committee is responsible for optimizing in-office morale and making LaBella the place you want to work. We organize happy hours, friendly competitions, and de-stressers at least once a month.

At LaBella, we’re powered by community partnership. As we’ve grown to more than 650 employees, so has our commitment to create positive change. Our unique approach to service— trusting employees to engage with the community and providing them with resources to make a difference— results in passionate grassroots initiatives.

 

This tried-and-true model empowers employees to prioritize the social change they wish to make. As a diverse group of employees from all our divisions, LINC participants are passionate about our communities and the causes they support.  Ultimately, LINC’s vision is to use our collective skills and talents to improve the lives of others. And learn something along the way.
