Project Funding Awarded Through TAP and CMAQ Programs

Last week, the New York State Department of Transportation announced the award of funding for projects through the 2021 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program totaling $178.8 million to 75 communities across New York State. With the assistance of our technical and planning teams, our clients were able to secure more than $5 million in funding.

Pictured above is the City of Cohoes which received $4.5 million to construct nearly three miles of sidewalks, bike lanes, and other enhancements to facilitate a pedestrian-friendly environment, including Safe Routes to School. Also pictured below is the City of Batavia, which received nearly $1 million to construct traffic calming, bike lanes, and sidewalks along Bank and Alva Streets.

Congratulations to all award winners!
