The Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Pediatrics Consolidation and Expansion
The Cleveland Clinic’s Hillcrest Hospital is home to the highly sought Women’s Health Birthing Center. Once the newest patients arrive, the Clinic also offers a variety of outpatient pediatric specialty care, including: general care; pediatric cardiology, hematology, oncology, endocrinology and pulmonary medicine; the Be Well Kid’s Clinic; therapy services; and behavioral health, to name a few. Seeking to bring these specialties to one outpatient location for the benefit of complex patients, the Hillcrest Medical Office Building (MOB) was tapped as the site for a new pediatric program consolidation, offering a fully renovated space, access to a US News and World Report Best Hospital, and free, convenient parking for young families.
LaBella Associates was tasked with developing the new Hillcrest Pediatrics suite with spaces to support all specialties, including renovating an existing MOB built in 1975. “We stripped the existing down to its bones, and rebuilt a modern, inviting practice,” LaBella Project Manager Matt Metyk said. Metyk also designed and managed the Women’s Health Birthing Center at Hillcrest Hospital across the street. “Whether inpatient or outpatient, we understand the efficiencies caregivers require, while also delivering a Cleveland Clinic patient experience.” With over 41 specialized pediatricians and 18 different pediatric specialties under one roof, Hillcrest Pediatrics offers an outpatient care experience unlike any other.
