LaBella Associates recently transformed an existing 2,223 sf bank building into a new veterinary practice.
The design team was able to creatively accomplish a 3,000 sf program within the existing space. The old bank vault was creatively reused as the doctor’s office and controlled drug storage, and the original, dated lobby is now an inviting reception / waiting area.
The existing conference room and offices are now utilized as 3 exam rooms and a laundry room. The back line and teller area houses the new treatment area and pharmacy. The x-ray room, isolation room, surgery and recovery kennel areas now occupy the area where there was a large meeting room.
The original break room and bathrooms underwent cosmetic renovation, and paint was used to update the original double wythe exterior brick walls. Composite fiber planks were added to the exterior to frame the entrance and create a plane on the facade for the practice’s signature silhouette logo.
