LaBella Associates Adds Twelve to Growing Healthcare Practice with Acquisition of Gardner PLUS Architects!
LaBella Associates announces the acquisition of Gardner PLUS Architects today. The acquisition will be effective October 31st. Both firms are headquartered in Rochester.
Founded in 1990, Gardner PLUS celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2015 with an appearance on the Rochester Top 100. The firm’s largest practice area is a specialty in healthcare design. “We’ve developed relationships with over a dozen healthcare systems,” Gardner PLUS President David Gardner said. “Our growth is a direct result of our clients’ continued trust in the firm.”
2015 also marked LaBella Associates’ 13th appearance on the Top 100, the result of a growth rate of 20% annually over the past five years. “Healthcare design has become an important part of our company’s growth,” LaBella President Robert A. Healy said. “Our Cleveland team, and their relationship with the Cleveland Clinic and MetroHealth, has created exciting opportunities. In Buffalo, we’ve developed a positive working relationship with Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Adding Gardner PLUS’s expertise to our Rochester studio will enhance our ability to serve the healthcare industry.”
The combined team will be well positioned to share expertise and take on larger projects. All Gardner PLUS employees will be retained in the acquisition, although physically relocating to LaBella’s office will occur in the coming months. “Plans are underway to relocate everyone to our High Falls headquarters as soon as possible,” Healy said. “We’re looking forward to collaborating and providing Gardner clients a seamless transition.”
In addition to specialty healthcare design services like medical planning, wayfinding design, and Certificate of Need (CON) assistance, Gardner PLUS clients can benefit from LaBella’s full service approach if they desire. LaBella offers in-house mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil engineering, bridge and highway engineering, planning, and environmental consulting. “We’ll always respect and value the relationships we have with other consultants, and their knowledge of our clients’ facilities,” Gardner said. “LaBella’s approach has always been to put the right resources in place, whether in-house or using outside expertise.”
