LaBella welcomed nine Rochester City School District students to our office for a day of engineering through Monroe Community College's Horizons Program. The Horizons program offers a summer day camp experience focused on academic enrichment. Students without summer educational activities lose proficiency, so we were excited to do our part to show that summer learning is fun!
Focused on the camp theme of engineering, students go to hear from engineers from our electrical, structural, transportation, environmental, mechanical and civil disciplines. We followed it up with a bridge engineering activity using spaghetti and marshmallows.
