Hirschfeld Marketing Solutions (HMS) is an experiential and event marketing company located in the town of Cornelius, North Carolina, about 20 miles north of Charlotte. LaBella was challenged with designing a new office building and warehouse storage space that would have a rustic, industrial mill feel mixed with modern, tech savvy elements that are reflective of the company’s contemporary approach to marketing.
We took inspiration from the HMS logo and created this aesthetic by painting the structural steel a bright orange, designing a reception desk with corrugated metal, painting accent walls and adding rustic reclaimed wood to soften some of the modern features. HMS also had several racing team clients burn out tire treads into the exposed concrete floor before it was sealed for a unique flooring effect.
There are a mix of enclosed offices and open collaborative spaces. On the main floor there is a large conference room, smaller huddle rooms, a lounge area, work cubicles, and a break room with glass garage doors opening to an exterior patio. On the second floor, accessed by an angled open staircase with industrial metal railing, there are private offices along with the CEO’s suite.
