LaBella Acquires Scottish-Based Kiloh Associates

Addition of Seasoned Team in Kiloh Expands LaBella’s European Footprint

LaBella Associates, an international architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning firm, today announces it has acquired Kiloh Associates, a Scottish multidisciplinary engineering firm specializing in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, and Environmental disciplines. Kiloh is based in Glasgow, with five offices and many commercial and energy clients throughout the United Kingdom.

The addition of Kiloh expands LaBella’s European presence beyond Spain, where it currently has its architectural and electro-mechanical specialist services. “This year we are marking ten years since LaBella established our first international office in Spain, which has been an unqualified success,” said LaBella Chief Executive Officer Steve Metzger. “We have the infrastructure in place to connect our employees wherever they are, and our clients benefit from access to global talent.”

As with any partnership, compatibility is key. Kiloh’s owner, Stuart Burke, identified a kindred growth-mindset between the two companies. “We work with many large clients who have more needs than Kiloh can fill alone,” Burke said. “With the scale LaBella brings, we can grow together and offer additional solutions.”

Established in 1975 and Incorporated in 1993, as Consulting Engineers, Kiloh provides engineering design services for a wide range of projects for the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industry, the food and dairy industry, power and energy, manufacturing and construction industries, the leisure industry, commercial and residential developments, and public authority projects both in the field of regeneration and new build. Existing clients and contracts will not experience any changes as a result of the deal, although a transition from Kiloh to the LaBella brand is expected. Stuart Burke will remain the leader of LaBella’s operations in the United Kingdom.
