McAdenville Town Hall

Gather Us In: Former Church is New Home for McAdenville Town Hall

For many years, the McAdenville Town Hall was located in a small retail space one block from the two-story McAdenville United Methodist Church. When the Methodist district decided to close the church due to declining membership, the Town saw an opportunity to create a new identity for the Town Hall. LaBella was brought on board to make this vision a reality.

Originally built in 1960, the building was modernized and thoughtfully modified to remove religious symbolism. The steeple shape was redesigned, and the original stained-glass windows were made available to church members. The original cross stained glass behind the council chamber was also modified to remove its symbolism. The original pews were refinished as was most of the original hardwood flooring. The result is a Town Hall as charming as the Town of McAdenville itself.
