Greywalls Lane Residence

New Country Home With a Touch of Martha's Vineyard Style

LaBella was selected to help build this dream home for a family with three children in Iron Station, North Carolina. Set on 10 acres in a gated community, the property backs up to a stretch of land owned by the Catawba Lands Conservancy, which features a 3,800 sq. ft. field and a nearby forest filled with trails.

The exterior design of the private residence is farmhouse style with a Nantucket twist. Shaker siding, Tennessee stone detailing and a generous front porch create a welcoming feeling for guests when arriving.

One of the important aspects of the interior design was ensuring that the house could facilitate learning and sharing during the week, while also becoming a place for respite on the weekends. The interior of the house needed to be a safe environment for the family’s three children in addition to supporting homeschooling. The interior design also incorporates open living and kitchen spaces that blend timeless details and natural wood accents with the modern needs of this active, young family.
