Greg Senecal Appointed Sr. Vice President & Executive Director of Climate & Environment
LaBella aims to grow expertise in environmental, climate, and sustainable solutions with the development of Senecal's new role.
LaBella is excited to announce Greg Senecal, CHMM, has been appointed Sr. Vice President & Executive Director of Climate & Environment!
The role was created to reflect the growing need for expertise in environmental, climate, and sustainable solutions across all project types. As he steps into this role, Greg will focus on connecting and aligning resources to ensure the firm is providing holistic solutions.
“Clients in all areas are interested in incorporating renewable energy, reducing their carbon footprint, implementing sustainable design practices, and planning for climate resilience. LaBella’s multi-disciplinary approach means we can pull that expertise in from across the company, no matter the primary project type,” said Greg Senecal. “We’re capable of bringing together funding, energy expertise, and innovative and sustainable design for a wide variety of projects and clients. Sustainable design and climate resilience considerations are permeating every area of our practice.”
Greg joined LaBella as an Environmental Analyst in 1990 and went on to accumulate more than 33 years of experience in designing, managing, and conducting environmental assessment programs, investigation, and remediation services, as well as brownfield redevelopment projects. He has managed thousands of environmental projects throughout the course of his career.
“Since joining LaBella more than 30 years ago, Greg has distinguished himself as a trusted and integral partner to the leadership team with invaluable expertise,” said Jeff Roloson, President.
Most recently, Greg served as Director of Environmental and under his leadership the Environmental Division at LaBella grew from a staff of 10 to 240 environmental professionals. Greg has also played an important role in geographic expansion for the firm and led the creation of the ecological department, the environmental construction department, and the renewable energy practice group. He serves on the LaBella Board of Directors and spearheads several emerging market teams within the organization.
“While Superfund programs and brownfield clean ups in the rustbelt Great Lakes states were some the most pressing environmental challenges to solve in the past 30 years, the global need for sound climate-conscious business solutions has become more dire, and our firm can provide tremendous benefit to the communities we serve if we keenly focus on pulling the diverse resources of the firm together to help our clients and partners with innovative energy solutions, climate sensitive designs, and ecologically sound climate resilience measures,” said Senecal.
