Jenny Johnson Presenting at WasteExpo Conference in Las Vegas
Jenny Johnson, LaBella’s Director of Waste and Recycling, will be presenting at Waste360’s WasteExpo conference being held May 6-9, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada. WasteExpo is North America’s largest solid waste, recycling, organics, food waste, recovery, and sustainability tradeshow serving both the public and private sectors. The conference offers opportunities to network with peers, experts, and top solution providers, as well as learn about the latest technology and attend a range of educational sessions geared toward improving the environment.
On Wednesday, May 8th at 11:30 a.m., Jenny will be speaking at a session titled “PFAS—What’s Next?” alongside fellow contributors Sam Nicolai, Dr. Bryan Staley, Lynsey Baer, and Anne Germain. This session will discuss how PFAS will shape the waste industry over the next 5 to 10 years.
Session Description
Now that we know what PFAS are, what next? There’s a lot going on—banning PFAS in products, cleaning up contaminated sites, establishing standards for drinking water and so on. The waste sector will face standards for its leachate, but it is also part of the solution. Join us as we discuss how the waste sector will change over the next 5 to 10 years because of PFAS.
