Matthew G. Rogers Presenting at the 2024 Saratoga County Planning and Zoning Conference

LaBella’s Senior Planner Matthew G. Rogers will be presenting at the 2024 Saratoga County Planning and Zoning Conference being held by the Saratoga County Department of Planning and Economic Development on January 31, 2024, in Saratoga Springs, New York.

On Wednesday, January 31st at 1:15 p.m., Matthew will be presenting “Commercial Corridor & Economic Development: Challenges and Solutions” along with fellow presenters Gregory Connors, President and CEO of Saratoga Economic Development Corporation; Brian Marsh, Mayor of the Village of Menands; and Pamela Fuller, Mayor of the Village of Greenwich.

This presentation will explore the constant state of flux that today’s commercial corridors are in and how this can present significant challenges for communities seeking to increase economic development opportunities, and in some cases, reverse decades of decline. Additionally, this presentation will discuss the various planning and zoning techniques communities could implement to overcome these challenges and achieve successful corridor redevelopment, as well as provide an overview of successful corridor redevelopment efforts.

LaBella will also be on site with a booth, so be sure to say hello!
