Three LaBella Engineers Honored by the Rochester Engineering Society

Each year, the Rochester Engineering Society (RES) recognizes engineers for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the engineering community. This year, three LaBella engineers will be honored.

Jim Kaniecki is receiving the Engineer of Distinction award. Jim is a Senior Structural Engineer within LaBella’s Transportation team. He has over 37 years of experience in engineering and design for highways, rails, and pedestrian bridge facilities.

Steve Longway is also receiving the Engineer of Distinction Award. Steve has over 20 years of experience in electrical engineering design and is focused on business development and management of MEP, fire protection, structural, and energy services. Under Steve’s leadership, LaBella has developed service capabilities in high voltage power systems and renewable energy services.

Caroline Wheadon is a finalist for the Young Engineer of the Year award. Caroline leads LaBella’s hydropower practice. She has over 15 years of experience in environmental engineering, project management, and detailed design for hydropower plant systems.
