Taylor Apartments Mixed-Use Development

Vacant Apartment Buildings Reimagined Into Affordable Housing

LaBella worked with Pennrose and the Troy Housing Authority on the redevelopment of the existing, Taylor 1 and Taylor 2 apartment towers, both of which had been vacant for a period of time. On this project, we are responsible for civil/site design as well as advancing the project through local Planning Board and Zoning Board approvals.

The proposed project involves demolishing both buildings in their entirety and constructing a new seven-story, 153,375 sq. ft. mixed-use, mixed-income building. The architectural plans include 141 residential units ranging from one-bedroom apartments to three-bedroom apartments. These apartments are designed as replacement affordable housing units reserved for current residents of the Taylor 3 and Taylor 4 apartment buildings.
