Frewsburg Central School District – Middle/High School Reconstruction

A Little Something for Everyone

As part of a capital improvement project within the Frewsburg Central School District, LaBella Associates worked with administration, instructors, and staff to address a wide range of needs and initiatives at the Middle/High School building. The project scope and design evolved over the course of three Superintendents, each of whom brought their own individual insight and ideas to be incorporated or addressed through revisions during design and construction phases.

Numerous interior alterations for administration resulted in comprehensive new layouts for the District office, High School office, and Business office. The Auditorium also received substantial renovations, including the construction of a new sound booth, a new sound system, new stage flooring, new stage curtains and stage lighting, new seating, new house lighting, and new house finishes such as carpeting, vinyl tile flooring, and painting throughout.

Additional alterations resulted in a new distance learning classroom, a new science classroom, a new computer lab and tech workshop, and a new air conditioning system for the entire second floor of the school. Site improvements featured a new grandstand and press box at the football field along with a new scoreboard and sound system.

The project scope also included window and storefront replacement at the natatorium, the adaptive gym, and multiple classrooms; masonry restoration at the gym; and finally, an addition to the natatorium for pool chemical storage and distribution.
